The trans woman decides to take matters into her own hands and avenge herself, and so begins this thrilling must see comedy.

Loosely based on a true story, the Danish Girl centers around a trans woman named Lili Elbe. Originally born, a man named Enure Wagoner. Enurer was a landscape painter and has always lived life as if there were two people living in the same body.

#6. A Fantastic Woman (2017)
This transgender movie tells the tragic story of Marina, a transgender woman who works as a waitress and as a nightclub singer in Santiago, Chile.
At her dimly-lit nightclub, Orlando, the wealthy owner of a textile company, locks eyes with Marina and so begins their wild relationship. Unfortunately, after Marina’s birthday celebration and a night of passion, Orlando falls gravely ill and dies in the hospital the following morning, leading to a series of questioning over Marina’s intent and involvement with this man.

Transamerica tells the grippy story of Bree, who is less than two weeks away from the final operation that will complete her sex change from male to female. When she suddenly finds out she has a teenage son named Toby.
Willing to drive him to La to fulfill his dream of becoming a porn actor creates the setting of a road trip movie with one key twist, Toby has no idea that he’s in the same car as his biological father.

This transmission centers around a drag Queen, a transvestite, and a transsexual woman who are traveling across the Australian desert to perform at a drag Queen residency show.
The musical performances are spectacular, but it’s really the way in which the trio handles everyday life and comes up with witty responses to the prejudice they experience on their road trip. That makes this movie so extraordinary.

Based on the true story of Brandon Teena, a young transgender man who was sexually abused and murdered in Humboldt, Nebraska. This drama tells the story of a growing romance between a trans boy and a cisgender girl in the early 90s.
Teena’s tragic life tells the story of many trans people today touching on subjects like transgender, homelessness and mistreatment at the hands of the police.
#2. All About My Mother (1999)
Pedro Almodóvar the writer of this movie, said he writes better for women than for men who are dramatically boring. And so begins the nuanced Spanish drama called All About My Mother with trans issues at its CenterPoint.
The film opens on Manuela’s attempt to locate her late son, Esteban’s father. Esteban never knew that his father, like his mom’s best friend, is a transsexual woman named Lola.
#1. Paris Is Burning (1990)
This trans documentary by Jennie Livingston follows African American and Hispanic gay. Men transgender women in drag Queens in 1980s queer New York as they compete in Vogue dancing battles.
While sporting different costumes. While Livingston has been accused by critics of voyeurism and encouraging cultural appropriation, the documentary did push transgender issues into the mainstream, with singer Madonna taking inspiration and directly pulling cast members from the documentary for her Vogue music video, which won the Grand Jury Prize at the 1991 Sundance Film Festival.
The movie was rated an 8.2 on a scale of ten on the IMDb website and received a meta score of 82 on Metacritic.
