Released in 2020, Ava is a sci-fi action thriller film directed by Tate Taylor and written by Matthew Newton. Jessica Chastain, John Malkovich, Common, Geena Davis, Colin Farrell, Ioan Gruffudd, Joan Chen, and others feature in the film.

Ava, a taciturn lone wolf, and cold-blooded assassin, is starting to acquire a conscience despite being lethally attractive and very efficient in her perilous line of business.

With the assistance of Duke, her grizzled tutor of death and father figure, Ava has broken her alcohol and chemical addiction, but she is increasingly letting guilt in the way of closing her “deals,” attracting unwelcome attention by breaking regulations.

As a result of a failed effort to liquidate a high-profile target, Ava reconnects with her estranged family after an eight-year absence, completely ignorant that she has just signed her death sentence.

As Ava strives to settle past scores and reunite with her loved ones, she is pursued by every assassin in the business.

The film received generally negative reviews, but Chastain’s performance received some praise.

Kate is the epitome of a perfectly honed assassin at the top of her game: meticulous and preternaturally competent.

When she blows an assignment in Tokyo targeting a yakuza member, she swiftly realizes. She’s been poisoned, a horrifically slow killing that leaves her with less than 24 hours to wreak revenge on her killers.

Kate strikes an odd friendship with the adolescent daughter of one of her previous victims as her body rapidly deteriorates.

The film was released on Netflix on September 10, 2021, to mixed reviews from critics, who commended Winstead’s acting but considered the film “disappointingly reminiscent of several previous female assassin flicks.”

The French science fiction action 2014 film Lucy is written and directed by Luc Besson. It is an English-language film shot in Taipei, Paris, and New York City. It stars Scarlett Johansson, Morgan Freeman, Choi Min-sik, and Amr Waked.

It was meant to be a straightforward task. Mr. Jang only needed Lucy to bring a strange suitcase. But Lucy is soon caught up in a nightmare arrangement, where she is kidnapped and forced to work as a drug mule for a new and potent synthetic substance.

Lucy’s body endures unthinkable transformations when the bag she’s carrying within her tummy leaks, allowing her mind to reach its full potential.

Lucy becomes into a cruel fighter with her newfound abilities, determined to avenge her oppressors. Professor Norman, the world’s foremost expert on the human psyche, and French police captain Pierre Del Rio provide her with important assistance.

The film was released on July 25, 2014, and it was a huge box office hit, making over $463 million, more than eleven times its $40 million budget. It garnered mostly good reviews, but there were some dissenters.

 Directed by Olivier Megaton Colombiana is a 2011 French English-language action thriller film, starring stars Zoe Saldana with supporting roles by Michael Vartan, Cliff Curtis, Lennie James, Callum Blue, and Jordi Mollà. 

After witnessing her parents’ death as a youngster in Bogota, a young lady grows up to be a stone-cold killer.

By day, she works as a hitman for her uncle, but in her spare time, she commits vigilante killings in the hopes of tracking down the mafia responsible for her parents’ deaths.

The movie was based on a storyline that was supposed to be a follow-up to Léon (1994). Mathilda, played by Natalie Portman, was supposed to seek down and execute those who had mistreated her and Leon throughout the plot. It was canceled due to rights concerns with the company behind the previous picture, and the script was adapted into Colombiana.

While the film had a generally negative reception from critics, Saldana’s action sequences were praised and the movie earned $63.4 million against a $40 million budget.

Based on the 2013 novel of the same name by Jason Matthews, Francis Lawrence filmmaker directed the 2018 American spy thriller film Red Sparrow.

The film tells the story of A young Russian intelligence officer is tasked with seducing a first-tour CIA agent in charge of the agency’s most sensitive Russian intelligence penetration.

In a charged atmosphere of tradecraft, deception, and inevitably forbidden passion, the two young officers collide, endangering not only their own lives but also the lives of others.

On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 45%, based on 301 reviews, and an average rating of 5.5/10.

While On Metacritic, the film has a weighted average score of 53 out of 100, based on 51 critics. However, the film scored 6.6 out of 10 on the IMDb website.

She once entered the hotel of a powerful and dangerous individual, after which a mound of bodies was discovered there.

Special services are questioning the youngster, but she has nothing to say about it. She appears to be terrified, and no one suspects her.

Anna is set free and begins planning a new venture. Under the appearance of a delicate beauty, the world’s most lethal assassin hides, who has yet to fail.

The film has a 34 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 71 reviews with an average rating of 4.9/10.
The film received a 40 out of 100 score from Metacritic, which uses a weighted average based on 14 reviewers. While it got 6.7/10 on the IMDb.

She is sent alone into Berlin to deliver a precious report, and she teams up with embedded station head David Percival (James McAvoy) to negotiate her way through the deadliest game of espionage.

The film has a 78 percent approval rating based on 362 reviews on review aggregate website Rotten Tomatoes, with an average rating of 6.6/10.

And Based on reviews from 50 critics, the film has a weighted average score of 63 out of 100 on Metacritic. And it got 6.7/10 on the IMDb.

These traits stem from her upbringing in the wilds of Finland by her father, Erik Heller (Eric Bana), an ex-CIA agent. Her upbringing and training have been one and the same, all focused at making her the perfect assassin, since she has lived a life unlike any other youngster.

Hanna’s adolescence takes a sudden turn when she is sent out into the world on a mission by her father. She travels discreetly throughout Europe, dodging operatives ordered after her by vicious intelligence officer Marissa Wiegler (Cate Blanchett), who has her own secrets.

Hanna is confronted with stunning facts about her life and unanticipated doubts about her humanity as she approaches her ultimate goal.

Hanna came in second place at the box office in the United States in its opening weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter. 

The picture grossed $40.3 million in North America and $25.1 million in other markets when it came to an end on July 7, 2011, for a total of $65.3 million worldwide.

Hanna has a 71 percent rating on the review aggregate website Rotten Tomatoes. With an average rating of 6.86/10, based on 230 reviews on the IMDb website. The film also has a 65/100 weighted average score from 40 reviews on Metacritic and 3.4 out of 5 on Letterboxd.

The film tells the story of ‘The Bride,’ as the main character, was a member of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, which was commanded by her boyfriend, ‘Bill.’

‘The Bride’ chose to leave her life as a murderer after learning she was pregnant with Bill’s kid. She escaped to Texas, where she met a young man who was killed down by an enraged and jealous Bill on the day of their wedding rehearsal (with the assistance of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad).

After four years in a coma, ‘The Bride’ awakens to find her kid has died. She then resolves to get vengeance on the five individuals who devastated her life and murdered her child. The first volume of the Kill Bill saga begins.

The film scored 8.1/10 on IMDb, 85% on Rotten Tomatoes, and 3/5 on Common Sense Media.

Directed by Toshiya Fujita and starring Meiko Kaji, the 1973 film Lady Snowblood is based on the manga series of the same name by Kazuo Koike and Kazuo Kamimura.

The film recounts the tale of Yuki (Kaji), a strikingly beautiful young woman who is trained from birth to be a deadly instrument of revenge against the swindlers who destroyed her family.

Toho distributed Lady Snowblood, which was released theatrically in Japan on December 1, 1973. It produced a sequel, Love Song of Vengeance (1974), as well as being the basis for Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill.

Additionally, an unauthorized remake of Lady Snowblood is the 1977 Hong Kong martial arts film Broken Oath, directed by Jeong Chang-Hwa and featuring Angela Mao in the title role.

The film scored 7.7/10 on IMDb,  100% on Rotten Tomatoes, and  80% on Metacritic.
